Welcome to Tjiane Projects. By using our website or working with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. These Terms and Conditions apply to all services we offer, including architecture, civil engineering, and town planning.

1. Our Services

We provide professional services in:

• Architectural Design

• Civil Engineering

• Town and Regional Planning

• Each project includes a specific scope of work that will be clearly outlined in our quotation or agreement.

2. What We Expect From You

To work smoothly and deliver excellent results, we ask you to:

• Provide accurate and complete project and site information

• Supply all necessary documents (e.g., title deed, zoning certificate)

• Respond promptly to communication

• Pay invoices on time as agreed

3. Payments

• A deposit (usually 50%) is required before work begins

• Final payment is due before we release final drawings or submit plans

• Payments are due within 7 days of invoice unless otherwise stated

• If the project is cancelled after we’ve started, the deposit is non-refundable

• If the value of completed work exceeds the deposit, we will invoice the remaining amount

Simple example: If you cancel after we’ve done R7,000 worth of work but paid only R5,000 deposit, you’ll be billed R2,000 extra.

4. Revisions

• Every project includes up to 2–3 free revisions

• Any extra or late changes (especially after final drawings) may incur additional charges.

5. Site Information & Plan Approvals

We are not responsible for rejected plans if:

• The client provides incorrect or outdated property/site details

6. Project Submissions & Professional Oversight

• Architectural and civil drawings may be submitted under the supervision of a registered professional, as required by law

• Town planning submissions follow municipal procedures and timelines

• We aim to assist with approvals but cannot guarantee third-party decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

• All plans, drawings, and content created by us remain our intellectual property unless we agree otherwise in writing

• You are granted the right to use the final deliverables only for the specific project they were created for

• You may not resell, reproduce, or alter them without permission.

8. Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel a project at any time by notifying us in writing

• The deposit is non-refundable

• Work already done will be invoiced fairly, based on time and progress

• We reserve the right to stop work if the client doesn’t cooperate or breaches this agreement.

9. Liability

We are not liable for:

• Delays or losses caused by external parties or government institutions

• Errors made by third-party contractors

• Cost overruns due to client-requested changes or late decisions

We always aim for professional quality but we depend on cooperation from many parties, including you.

10. Your Privacy

• We respect your privacy and keep your data safe and confidential

• We only use your information to deliver services and improve our business

11. Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises, we encourage calm, professional discussion. If unresolved, the matter may be referred to mediation or handled according to South African law.
